5:45, the alarm says as it buzzes incessantly. I fumble blindly for my glasses, not even opening my eyes until I've located them. Bleary-eyed, I maneuver my cluttered bedroom floor by the path ingrained into my brain, flicking the alarm's switch to "OFF" and the light on.I blink away the sudden blindness from the bright light, and head to the closet. No, I decide, kitchen first.

At the top of the stairs I look out the window above the sink, facing east. A few houses block my view of the sun itself, but it must be just before it's above the horizon, as the sky behind the silhouetted homes is a firey orange at the bottom

But if that was the case, then what was this enigma? This thing that defied this universal law of two-sidedness.

A simple strip of paper, given a 180 degree twist and the ends connected, defied this law of two sides. They called it by a name so simple and innocent, yet oddly alien, just as was this thing.

Went and saw Hunger Games, and though I knew it was coming (I read the books), I still... cried. A little.

Ok, a lot.

Saddest and most touching scene in the movie OR book, to me.

Stupidly simple stamp because I am not about to learn the art of detailed-stamp-making at 10 pm.

I used to babysit this girl called Thea and she looks a lot like Rue.
I had got her into the hunger games by reading the book with me.
After I came back from the movies (after bawling my eyes out) and she wanted me to tell her what happened to Rue.
(Rue was her favourite character) All I said was,
"She's in a better place."

That halloween, I cosplayed Katniss, and Thea was following me about as Rue.
It. Was. Damn. Adorable.

I was sobbing when I read the part where Rue died.
And then I saw the movie, and they sure nailed that scene because I was crying as much as I did when I read the books. ;A;
